Analytics & KPI Framework

KPI design from discovery through definition — what to measure, how it is calculated, who owns it, and where it lives. Templates at Bronze. Facilitated co-build, the Analytics Use Case Machine, and BI dashboards at Silver.

What Analytics Requires First

You cannot standardize metrics without shared definitions.

The KPI Framework is the bridge between governance and BI dashboards. It cannot be built before the business glossary is complete — because the glossary contains the definitions the KPIs will be built on. This is why the Analytics Track always runs after the Governance Track.

The KPI Framework at Bronze vs Silver: At Bronze, you receive the KPI Definition Template and Analytics Workbook — pre-structured tools you fill in independently. At Silver, SSA co-builds the framework with your team in facilitated workshops, ensuring the definitions are actually agreed on and the calculations are actually implemented in your CRM or data system.

  • Bronze: KPI Definition Template — structured form for each metric
  • Bronze: Analytics Starter Kit — use case workflow and prioritization
  • Bronze: Data Crosswalk Workbook — map sources to outputs
  • Silver: Facilitated KPI co-build (2–4 workshops)
  • Silver: Analytics Use Case Machine — structured use-case scoping
  • Silver: BI dashboard delivery on the Steward visual system
Analytics Use Case Machine

Silver Only

A structured intake and scoping system for analytics requests. SSA facilitates use case definition, prioritization, and acceptance criteria for every dashboard or report before a single line of SQL is written.

Each use case produces a signed requirements artifact — the business question, the required metrics, the audience, and the success criteria. This is the requirements sign-off that makes analytics delivery predictable.

BI Dashboard Delivery

SSA designs and delivers dashboards on the Steward visual system — leadership-ready, KPI-driven, with documented calculation library. Board-ready and funder-ready output formats included.

Analytics Requires Governance First

The governance foundation comes before the analytics build.

If you're starting from scratch, the right sequence is: assessment → governance → analytics. If your governance is already in place, contact us about starting at the Analytics Window.
